Hello! I’m Zoë and you’ve wandered onto my personal blog.
I’m a partner in ISN Virtual Worlds, a company that helps businesses build brand presence on platforms like Second Life (more information about ISN here). I guess my business card should read Creative Geek as I divide my time between structuring complex projects for clients, coding for the web and design work.
In my spare time, I’m a complete macaholic (to my husband’s eternal despair), I take photos, do a bit of cooking and sail. I’m based between Milan and Tuscany, so I do a lot of, er, gastronomic research too.
In case you were wondering, dogs not cats, rugby not football and definitely Marmite.

Send me an email, and I’ll try to respond promptly, unless I’ve fallen off the Inbox Zero wagon.
About this website
This website was, of course, built on a Mac, namely a 24″ iMac called Bill. I use Textmate and CSSEdit for wrestling with code and Transmit to shift it down the pipes. Wordpress props up the backend, with the help of the following plugins:
- AMM (Amazon Media Manager Extension), Akismet spam filtering
- Twitter Tools
- flickrrss
- del.icio.us for Wordpress
- Simple Pie’s plugin for parsing RSS feeds (used to build my lifestream)
plugins. I also use del.icio.us’s built in function to generate a daily links digest. Google Analytics tracks my stats.
All of which goes to prove that you might have the best tools for the job, but you can still make a complete hash of it. (Oh, and for IE 6 users, please upgrade to IE 7 or, better, Firefox if you want to see the site properly. You’ll thank me, honest.)
